Renewable energy project developer ReFeel EPC Brasil installed a 8,55 kWp pilot-plant at Arraial do Cabo, a seaside resort 150 Km far from Rio de Janeiro in the region known as “Região dos Lagos”, as a test for the “Virtual Net Metering” and “Shared Solar Generation” schemes, as provided for in the local PV law.

The PV plant covers 100% of the energy consumptions of the seaside residence located at Arraial do Cabo, where the panels were installed, and, at the same time, 100% of the consumption of a countryside residence located 170 Km far away and at 1000m of altitude, at the turistic Teresopolis resort.

The solar generation plant consists of 30 mono-crystalline solar panels of 285Wp. Our clients are two friends concerned with the sustainability and aware of the high costs of electricity; the have decided to associate on a private consortium – with all due documentos and aprovals by the competent authorities managed by ReFeel -, invest in clean generation, taking advantage of the virtual net metering and shared solar generation schemes, and began to produce their own green energy, saving considerably in their electricity bill and lowering their carbon dioxide emissions (“carbon footprints”).

ReFeel Brasil is an EPC company (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) with proven experience also in operation, maintenance and monitoring of PV plants. ReFeel Brasil is part of the ReFeel Group, with offices in Italy, Switzerland, Panama, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic. The Group has developed PV plants that total more than 500 MW worldwide.
